No Excuses Accepted!

Over our careers many of us have had some very good reasons why our employment didn't always work out the way we had anticipated.  Unfortunately, in way too many cases it was because we either didn't do or get something accomplished that was required, whether we actually knew to do it or not.  Oh, EMCON knows you might say that it was someone else's fault.  Yes, in some of the cases EMCON would agree; however, in too many of those cases, EMCON would not agree.  In the "real world of employment", as most will find out later in their career, there are no acceptable excuses for why something doesn't get accomplished. If your career doesn't work out the way you thought, what excuse will make things better?  Does it really matter who's to blame?  EMCON believes that it does matter!  Are there a few acceptable employment excuses?  If so, do you know what they are?

  • An excuse normally means you didn't get something completed.  How often do those affect your career negatively?
  • How often do you think your boss really accepts your excuses?
  • Is there a price to pay in one's career?  If so, do you know the price and will an excuse ever help you pay for it?
  • If you really want something, how often does an excuse help you get it?
  • Do you think it's possible to eliminate most excuses in the workplace?
  • The "RKS:  298" real world of employment concept stands for no excuses accepted.

Think of it this way:  If you could hire yourself, the answers to the above questions really wouldn't matter!  Unfortunately most of us cannot; we will work for someone else over our entire career.  There are many career questions, insights and information that make up make the "RKS:  298" Real World of Employment.  One of the most important questions in the "RKS:  298 Concept" is do you know the difference between what the “system” has told you about employment and what EMCON calls the real world of employment ?  There are many differences; however, the major difference is who's really in control, “THE SYSTEM OR YOU?

Can you actually take control over your career and if so, will it make a difference?  YES!!!  One thing EMCON knows for sure is that there's no excuse that will ever allow you to take control over your career.  The innovative information contained within the "RKS:  298" concept can provide the missing insights required for you to decide whether taking control is a good or a bad thing for your employment career!
